I suggested a while back to have a Forgery exhibition at a local gallery. Well that time has crept upon us. I considered doing various other pieces including an Emin. In the end I settled on Alfons Mucha. There was a feeling at first of being a traitor not choosing a female artists. But love for this particular series transcends such issues for me. Moon and Stars is a wonderfully brilliant classic. It is delicate and passionate. Learning of its meaning and a little Mucha history was an added bonus. I've never spent too much time working on reproductions, but this walk in another's shoes was a joy. In this picture, she was still in the works and wet on my easel.
