Day 2
I was quite excited that I awoke with a painting plan. That is progress already.
I've painted my favorite reading chair before, but this time I put it in context...
I wanted to label some of my favorite books, BUT since I'm determined not to get too detail orientated and just enjoy painting, I did not. But that is not to say, I will not return to it another day and add some titles.

  1. I agree! This painting is very beautiful. When I saw it at Leslie's blog, I was drawn right to it! My daughter LOVES to read! Personally, I wouldn't change a thing! It is lovely just the way you have it now.
P.S. Thanks for commenting on my Day #1. I am enjoying this challenge. Looking forward to Day #3.

  2. Hi Rachel, I have found you via Leslie's blog. I love this painting - it is remarkably original. I was intrigued by the string of lights and had to investigate further. I will look forward to seeing more of your work. Good luck with the challenge!

  3. Thanks. Taking things in our daily lives and mixing it up a bit makes me focus on the not so obvious. Shall see if the momentum continues and how far I can push it ( if at all). Sometimes a painting of a flower is just a flower. Depends on the day.
