I can not count the amount of times I've attempted to do a painting a day and somewhere along the way...well, you know. Basically it did not happen. This time, I decided to actually join a group of painters doing so on http://lesliesaeta.blogspot.com/. So we shall see if the camaraderie will make a difference and keep me on track. I'm off to a good start. I am organized. I decided that week one would be my version of several postcards I've collected from all over the world. The first is a postcard advertising the film The Last September. I know it stars Maggie Smith but, I've had it so very long that I actually can not remember anything about it or even if I've seen it. But I thought it would be appropriate for this 30 Day Challenge in September. I used Acrylic on Watercolor Paper. I've been working on loosening up and not worrying so much about the little details or I'd never get a painting done in a day. So hopefully this challenge will not only keep me on schedule, but also teach me a few other things too. Here's hoping.
That would be my dog in the background wanting out.

  1. I am also trying the challenge, and hope to learn a lot this month! I like the way you have achieved both watercolor effects and the boldness that comes from the acrylics. Enjoy the painting challenge!

  2. Thanks, Brenda. I suppose by the end of the month we'll be able to see how we have evolved ( or not!). It shall be a journey. I wish you the best and support.
