| One of the few whimsical paintings of mine... Chosen for the cover of SASEE Magazine in Myrtle Beach, SC. Thanks. |
Day Five! OK, I should not really be to excited about day five since I did not actually Paint today, BUT.....I did art related stuff. I've lost my voice (husband has smile on face) and running slight fever while coughing profusely. So actually painting was not an option. However, I managed to drag my bones out of bed for a moment to deliver paintings to a couple of guys who asked me to do a mixture for their new offices http://www.rdytogo.com/ . They come up with great new apps and recently even got to ring the NASDAQ bell! VERY talented young guys. These web designers and needed something to entertain their array of clients as they sit in the conference room. This is what I came up with and they were tickled pink ( my description and what a painter always wants to see when they are told to do "whatever it is that you do").
It's lovely and congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI like what you said on my blog about painting in groups and having those extra eyes. I have painted in groups before and found it helpful, but also confusing because there are so many opinions about everything.
Thanks so much for the visit Rachel!
I know what you mean about groups. Not that I have any, but it's like having children...you know when to tune out the unnecessary. Somehow, you instantly know what is to be dismissed. But there is usually one person there who either has a similar style or completely different style from yours, but is still on the same page with you mentally/ artistically. I usually try to join a group or workshop twice a year a year and I always come out learning something. Often from someone more novice than I.
ReplyDeleteHappy painting / exploring!
