Last night, our local House of Blues hosted a dinner for the Artist of the Year 2012- a project initiated by Grand Strand Arts and a host of others. Many of our paintings are decorating walls in the restaurants on the Barefoot Landing property in hopes of not only making locals and tourist alike aware of the many artists around, but also to help boost the revenue of some of us "starving" artist in this dire economy. Here I am with the winner Sybil A and our collaborative piece. It was the first time in quite a while that I painted with someone. I forgot how exciting and enjoyable it can be working alongside another painter, even with our completely different styles.
